CeraGold Oxygen Probe
A patented diffused ceramic CERMET coating protects the sheath against temperature and carbon erosion, extending probe life in aggressive carburising atmospheres.
Oxygen probes
The world's best-selling zirconia oxygen probe measures and controls oxygen, dew point and carbon potential in heat treatment furnace atmospheres.
The SSi Gold Probe has been the world's best-selling zirconia oxygen probe for heat treatment furnaces for over 30 years, consistently setting the industry standard for oxygen detection and carbon calculation in controlled atmospheres. Designed and manufactured in the USA, it measures and controls oxygen, dew point and carbon potential in carbon-rich atmospheres with high accuracy and repeatability.
The Gold Probe is a third-generation zirconia oxygen sensor for atmosphere measurement in non-oxidising, reducing, neutral and carburising processes. It is totally interchangeable with other manufacturers' probes and compatible with all heat treatment process controllers. It is installed in thousands of sealed quench, continuous mesh belt, pusher, rotary and pit carburising furnaces worldwide.
A patented sheath and electrode design facilitates probe burnout and promotes longer service life. Every oxygen sensor eventually degrades, but the Gold Probe is engineered to be rebuilt quickly and at low cost, and both new and rebuilt probes carry a twelve-month warranty.

A patented diffused ceramic CERMET coating protects the sheath against temperature and carbon erosion, extending probe life in aggressive carburising atmospheres.

A reinforced spring assembly compensates the differential thermal expansion of ceramic parts and sheath in probes longer than 1000 mm.

Measures oxygen from 510 °C upwards, covering nitriding, ferritic nitrocarburising and pre- and post-oxidation processes at low temperatures.
